How to Install Marathi Fonts on Android & iPhone

System-wide Marathi font installation for Android and iOS. Works across all apps, no root/jailbreak required.

Before you start

Both Android and iOS restrict custom system fonts by default, but helper apps (iFont on Android, AnyFont on iOS) bypass this limitation safely. This guide covers both platforms end-to-end.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Android — install iFont. From Play Store install iFont (by MobCup). Free app, no root required.
  2. Android — download Marathi TTF. From our library, save TTF to Downloads.
  3. Android — import in iFont. iFont → My → Load Font → choose your TTF.
  4. Android — set as system. Tap the font in iFont → Set → confirm. Font is now system-wide.
  5. iPhone — install AnyFont. App Store → AnyFont (₹149 one-time) → install.
  6. iPhone — add TTF. Save TTF to Files → open with AnyFont → tap the Aa icon → Install.
  7. iPhone — activate profile. Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → tap the profile → Install.
  8. Use anywhere. Open WhatsApp, Instagram, CapCut — the Marathi font is available in font pickers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need root to install Marathi font on Android?

No. iFont works without root on Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus. Some stock Android phones (Google Pixel) may require root for full system-wide install.

AnyFont costs money?

Yes, one-time ₹149 (~$2). Worth it for unlimited custom fonts. Alternatives: iFont for iOS (limited free version).

Marathi font not working in WhatsApp after install?

WhatsApp uses the Unicode rendering of whichever system font you've set. If the system font supports Devanagari, your Marathi text will render — but you can't change font per-message.

Uninstalling a font?

In iFont or AnyFont, open the font and tap Remove / Uninstall. On iPhone, also delete the profile from Settings.

Will custom Marathi font break my phone?

No. iFont/AnyFont use safe installation methods and don't modify system partitions. You can always revert to default.

Can I set different fonts per app?

No. System fonts apply globally. For per-app Marathi fonts, use apps with their own font pickers (CapCut, PicsArt, PixelLab).
